On his movements this last year, Mike Williams tells DJ Mag: “I feel like every year is getting crazier.” This year the Dutch DJ and producer collaborated with Afrojack on the track ‘Alone’, released via Afrojack’s Wall Recordings label. He also linked up with The Him and Travie’s Nightmare to produce the track ‘Down The River’ and remixed Felix Jaehn and Sandro Cavazza’s track ‘All For Love’, released via Collaection. Williams’ biggest release of the year has to be his cover of ‘Living On Video’, originally produced by Canadian synth-pop band Trans-X in the ’80s. Williams worked with vocalist D.Tale on the cover which was released via Spinnin’ Records and received a warm welcome from fans and peers. Over the summer season Williams performed at some of the world’s biggest festivals including Tomorrowland, Ultra, Parookaville, and Dreambeach. A particular highlight for Williams was his yearly appearance at ADE with his show entitled Storylines where he invited Tujamo, Toby Romeo and Quintino, alongside Tim Hox, who curated room two.

What gives you hope for 2024? “I can definitely feel that we’re moving towards more euphoric melodic dance music genres and I love to see how that evolves.”
