Having transformed from a live band making records that fused electro-pop with EDM and post-hardcore, to a duo producing big room dance music, Breathe Carolina are masters of reinvention. Operating under various guises since 2007, at one point Breathe Carolina was a six-piece group, though now they're comprised of founding member David Schmitt and Tommy Cooperman. In recent years the pair have demonstrated how their electronic rock songwriting background crosses over to the dancefloor, with tunes like the R&B-inflected 'Drive' and 'Too Good' from 2019’s 'Deadthealbum' racking up millions of streams. Then in 2020 there was their track 'IF U', a collaboration with Robert Falcon and Conor Maynard that reimagined Jennifer Lopez’s 1999 hit 'If You Had My Love'.
This year, they've hit anthemic heights with 'Something', an electro-house banger with Martin Garrix on the Dutch producer's STMPD RCRDS label, as well as bringing rave energy with their tracks 'The Ride' and 'Ridiculous' on Spinnin' Records. They've also been on the road all over the USA, with their status as one of the country's biggest EDM acts firmly cemented for another year.
