In the heart of Nairobi’s party epicentre ‘Electric Avenue’, MUZE is a breath of fresh air for the Kenyan electronic scene, creating a healthy pipeline for South African electronic acts in particular. Combining the sleek interior of a cocktail bar and member’s club by day, MUZE lights up at night with a Funktion-One soundsystem — which was expanded this year — that has amplified the likes of Black Coffee, Sef Kombo and Jullian Gomes, alongside a strong list of residents. MUZE also hosts a one-day festival (MUZE Open Air) at another location, has new merch on the way and is planning its fifth anniversary in 2023.
