Spread across two floors, the Zouk Singapore complex includes four club spaces. The 1,900-capacity Main Room is kitted out with a one-of-a-kind soundsystem created by audio engineer Gary Stewart, based around four GS Audio stacks and custom-built tweeter arrays. The club describes its aesthetic as “overarching neo-industrial and futuristic, inspired by underground rave clubs and refurbished warehouses in New York and Berlin” and it’s an impressive mix of opulence and steampunk-esque style.
Phuture (250-cap) takes care of non-four-four dance music, including hip-hop, R&B, breaks and drum & bass, while lounge-themed sumptuous club space Capital (520-cap) features multiple bars, and the venue also has the Red Tail cocktail bar for pre-game warm-ups.
Singapore’s stringent Covid restrictions have meant that Zouk only reopened at the end of April 2022, but the venue celebrated its return in epic style with a huge opening party featuring Salvatore Ganacci on the decks. The club has plenty of plans for the rest of the year too, with nights ranging in style from hardstyle/EDM, hip-hop/R&B to open format and retro, all ably handled by Zouk’s resident DJs Jeremy Boon, Hong, Ghetto, Nash D and Che’Molly.
